What if I don't hear from the credit bureau?
If 46 days go by and you don't hear anything from the credit bureaus please contact us. Sometimes the credit bureaus don't get your letter request, and sometimes they just want to ignore you.
What should I do with the credit report mail I get from the credit bureaus?
Make copies, and send it to us via fax.
What if deleted items reappear on my credit report?
On occasion, a negative listing that was recently deleted may eventually be verified by the creditor. The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires that the credit bureau inform you before the re-report a previously deleted listing. The FCRA also makes it more difficult for credit bureaus to re-report listings. Because of these factors, it is fairly rare for listings to come back on once they've been deleted. If a questionable credit item is re-reported, it is a simple matter to challenge the listing again at a future time to press for permanent deletion.
What are the risks I will be taking with repairing my credit? Will the credit bureaus penalize me?
There are NO risks. The only thing that will happen is that we will make your credit bureau report better for you or refund your money.
Are all 3 credit bureaus important?
The three (3) major credit bureaus pass information to additional minor or less well-known credit bureaus. Each major credit bureau therefore will cover at least one-third of your total credit history. And even though your credit report may display the name of an otherwise unknown small credit bureau, the fine print will show a major credit bureau is ultimately supplying the information.
How long does information remain on my report?
Credit bureaus report credit information for a period of seven (7) years. Some states have special provisions for collections and paid liens. Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcies are each reported for 10 years, and chapter 13 bankruptcy is reported for 10 years, both measured from the date of the filing.
Why do Credit Bureaus not want me to use a Credit Repair Company?
The credit bureaus will tell you that it is easier and less expensive to do it yourself. While it may be true that you have the right to repair your credit yourself, many individuals do not have the time, experience necessary to deal with bureaus. Many who start repairing their credit turn to a credit repair company after months of work.
How long would it take THE 720 CLUB Credit Group to repair my credit?
Again there is no definite answer, only definite advantages as the time varies depending on the initial credit status of each customer. On average it takes between 45 to 120 days for THE 720 CLUB Credit Group to repair your credit.
Why should I use a credit repair company?
The most common reasons are that individuals either have already tried themselves and obtained limited results, or they just don't have the time to undertake this task. If you decide to use us, you can be assured that you will be receiving the best assistance and service possible.
How does The 720 club legally repair bad credit?
Although some would like to have you think otherwise, there is absolutely nothing illegal about disputing questionable items on your credit report. In fact, it is your right by law to do so (see Fair Credit Reporting Act).
Can I restore my own credit?
Yes. You have the legal right to work out your credit disputes with the credit agencies and credit grantors yourself. Given experience and study, you could do much of what our staff does. It is much like your right as a citizen to represent yourself in court.
Many people, however, choose to ask The 720 club to represent them because of the depth of experience the The 720 club will bring to bear. But, should you wish, you could represent yourself.
Another factor to consider is the amount of time and follow-up required to coordinate disputes with all three credit reporting agencies and the creditors appearing on your credit report. We encourage consumers to dispute their own credit if they have the time and knowledge to do so.
How do I get updates on membership?
Credit reports will arrive first at your home and then you will fax copies of them to us. So, when we accomplish deletions and improvements, you will see them first on your subsequent credit report.
Additionally, you are always welcome to call or email your consultant and request an update of the progress of your membership.
Why does The 720 Club need updated credit reports?
Our ability to help you delete questionable negative items is dependent on having up-to-date credit reports. Without copies of your current credit reports we are somewhat limited in what we can do to progress a member's case. Sometimes members forget to forward their credit reports. Other times the credit bureaus fail to send updated reports to the members. In either case the process slows until we receive current credit reports. It is therefore crucial that you forward updated reports to The 720 club as soon as you receive them from the bureaus.
Does paying my bills restore my bad credit?
You would think that would be true. But, again, the credit reporting system just doesn't work that way. When you pay an old debt, the negative credit listing doesn't disappear. Once paid, it may appear on your credit report as a paid delinquency, charge off or collection (whatever the case may be.) That is, you won't get very far paying your debts unless you also work to restore your credit at the same time.
Does enough good credit offset any bad credit?
Any amount of bad credit is devastating to your chances of being approved by a credit grantor. Most credit grantors never actually look at your credit report. A computer pulls your credit report, rates your credit standing, income, indebtedness, and stability, then spits out an acceptance or denial. Even one or two slow pays will usually trigger a credit card or personal loan denial. The slightest amount of negative credit could cause the interest on an auto loan to skyrocket. You will probably find that even a little bad credit, regardless of how much good credit you have, is an unacceptable barrier to credit approval.
